Art Classes

This is truly a mixed media art piece.  You will use a rectangular frame that holds three 4x4 square substrates to create your artwork.  Using laying techniques, the squares will be covered with texture paste, vintage papers, cheese cloth and gesso.  Shrink plastic is the star of the show.  We will use specialized molds to shrink several images to add to the layered backgrounds.  Using paper clay, wire, charms, and beads, you will further embellish your surfaces. The end result is a unique framed piece of art that will warm anyone’s heart ready to hang or give as a gift. This is a project we think you will do more than once.
