Description:

The fascination with watching something big shrink into something tiny never gets old. I loved doing Shrinky Dinks when I was young, and I love using the professional quality of the Shrink Plastic that is available today. In this class you will use shrink plastic and several silicon molds to form and create beautiful flower beads.  Each bead will have several layers of petals that will be hand colored with colored pencils adding  to the unique design of the flowers you create.  You will learn how to make wire wrapped beads and dangles and a simple assembling technique will bring it together in a charming bracelet of charms, handmade beads and colorful dangles.  Accent beads, chain, charms and jewelry findings will be provided as part of the class. The number of beads you make is dependent on how detailed you make each flower and how you manage your time. Trust me these little pretties are addicting to make. There will be plenty of guidance and assistance.  All materials you need to create this bracelet will be provided.

Students should bring:

  • Colored pencils (Prisma color are recommended)
  • Chained nose  pliers and flat nose pliers and round nose pliers. Wire cutters.   We do have some jewelry tools in the     studio available to share.
  • Detail Scissors
